Privacy Policy
LabRefly
Effective date: September 25, 2026
1. About LabRefly
LabRefly is an offline Android utility that provides laboratory reference information from a bundled, locally stored dataset. Users can search for a laboratory test, enter a result and applicable context, and compare the result with the reference information supplied by the app.
2. Information We Collect
LabRefly does not collect, transmit, or remotely store personal information through the app.
The app is designed not to collect:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials
- Patient identifiers or medical record numbers
- Laboratory results entered by the user
- Health or medical records
- Precise or approximate location
- Contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera data
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking information
- Analytics or behavioral tracking data
3. Information Entered During Use
LabRefly may temporarily process information that you enter on the device, such as a laboratory result, unit, age category, sex category, pregnancy context, or other context required by a particular reference definition. This processing occurs locally on your device solely to perform the requested reference-range comparison.
LabRefly is designed so that this information is not transmitted to the developer, a cloud service, an analytics provider, an advertising network, or another third party.
4. Storage and Retention
LabRefly does not require an account or a remote database. User-entered result information is not intentionally retained as a patient history by the app.
The laboratory reference dataset is bundled with the application and is part of the app itself. It is not a user-generated health record.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
LabRefly does not sell, rent, or share user-entered laboratory results or personal information with third parties because the app is designed not to collect or transmit such information.
No advertising SDK, analytics SDK, authentication service, cloud database, or remote health-data service is required for the core functionality described in this policy.
6. Network Access
The core functionality of LabRefly does not require an internet connection. Searching the laboratory dataset and interpreting a result are performed locally on the device.
7. Permissions
LabRefly is designed to operate without access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, phone, SMS, or other sensitive device resources. If a future version introduces a feature that requires a new permission or changes the app's data practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when that change becomes applicable.
8. Children's Privacy
LabRefly does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults because the app is designed not to collect personal information through its core functionality.
9. Security
Because LabRefly is designed for local, offline processing and does not transmit user-entered laboratory results to a server, there is no remote transmission of those results by the app's core functionality. Users should nevertheless use normal device security measures, including a device passcode and current Android security updates.
10. Laboratory Information and Medical Disclaimer
LabRefly provides reference information and deterministic comparison against the reference definitions included in the application. Reference intervals can vary by laboratory, analytical method, specimen, population, and clinical context.
The information provided by LabRefly is not a diagnosis, does not establish that a person has or does not have a disease, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should consider the reference interval printed by the laboratory that performed the test and consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional when interpreting individual results.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's functionality, data practices, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a new version is published.
